T-house

Yokohama,Japan/2018/Architecture

This is a proposal for a house in Yokohama, located atop a small cliff overlooking the city. The house was proposed as a large unified space with minimal partitions for maximum spatial efficiency. The structural ribs made from ply wood cover the interior walls, acting as anti-seismic elements, while also ornamenting the space and providing shelf space. These structural apparatus creates a sense of a cozy enclosure, and brings unity to the design.
