If owning a rental property is considered a “profession” for the owner, then a live–work collective housing model necessarily requires the owner’s residence as a fundamental condition.

Put differently, this building is first and foremost the owner’s own live–work dwelling, and its surplus space becomes a live–work rental unit for others. Adaptable to both commercial and residential use as times change, this building represents a new model of live–work collective housing for the contemporary era.

賃貸住宅を保有することがオーナーにとっての”職”であるならば、職住一体集合住宅とはオーナーの居住が絶対的条件となるだろう。言い方を変えればこの建築は、オーナーの”職住一体住宅”であり、その余剰部分が職住一体集合賃貸住宅となる。時代の変化に応じて商業にも住居にも適合できる、この建築こそ新しい時代の職住一体集合住宅である。
