Iwatemachi Future Center：Entrance

This is an on-going project to create a business incubation facility in the center of Iwate-machi, a small town in Iwate Prefecture that suffers from a depopulation and a lack of new industries. The proposed Future Center consists of a renovated two-story office building (Co-work Building), and a newly built event space (Entrance Building). This facility encourages locals and people outside alike to discuss, collaborate and realize business ideas.
The Entrance Building will have an iconic timber structure, an intricate lattice comprised of three perpendicular timber boards, forming a unique and symbolic space for the city center.
岩手県にある人口減少や新産業の不足に苦しむ小さな町、岩手町の中心部にビジネス育成施設を創設する進行中のプロジェクト。提案されたフューチャーセンターは、改装された2階建てのオフィスビル（共同作業ビル）と、新しく建設されるイベントスペース（エントランスビル）から構成されている。この施設は、地元の方々や外部の人々がビジネスのアイデアを話し合い、協力し、実現することを目指している。
エントランスビルは、象徴的な木造構造を持ち、3本の垂直な木材から成る複雑な格子が、独特で象徴的な都心空間を形成する。
