The landscape renovation plan for the grounds and the new administration building of a certain shrine located in Fuji City is characterized by a series of folded walls forming the main structural support. When viewed in plan, the wall surfaces are constructed to have a zigzag form. This wall type is called "Kamifusen", which refers to the paper streamers used in Japanese festivals. Kamifusen walls segment the space in a gentle way, but unlike straight walls, they interact with the adjacent spaces.
